From Uncertainty to Exploration: Spiritual Counselling With Rev Carrie-Ann Provo
By Danielle Hauck, Vibrant Systems
I didn’t know what answers I was looking for when I met with Rev Carrie-Ann Provo, owner of WhiteLight Metaphysical December 11 at 11:00 AM. I thought I had to have some sort of question ready -- some specific thing to want to explore -- and even after asking my mom for ideas, I had none.
Whether I was nervous, eager, or uncertain on my way to Root to Crown Connection Centre that morning, when I sat down on the couch in Carrie-Ann’s office, all that seemed to melt away into a calm groundedness.
The session started with one of my favourite hobbies – Carrie-Ann asked me to tell her a bit about myself.
Just like that, the floodgates opened, and I began to talk about my work, what I consider my life purpose is and some of the challenges and lessons I’d been encountering in recent months. As I talked, Carrie-Ann’s smile widened.
When she could get a word in edgewise (I did say I liked to talk about myself), Carrie-Ann reflected what she calls my WhiteLight Essence — the underlying themes my soul is oriented toward experiencing in this lifetime. Drawing insight from my birth date, she highlighted patterns that tend to show up again and again, not as rules to follow, but as awareness I could consciously work with.
The kicker?
The themes she talked about were EXACTLY the same things I’d been info-dumping about moments before — which made the insight feel reflective rather than coincidental.
In this way, my reading and angelic healing session with Carrie-Ann felt immediately familiar. Any apprehension I had about asking the “right” question fell away as we got into discussing what I truly cared about - how I could move from just toying with my business to expanding into the work I always knew I was sent here to do.
For myself, with a spirituality grounded and expanded by many different worldviews and practices, I found Carrie-Ann’s knowledge and way of speaking easy to respond to. Her affect was calm, compassionate, and she listened with a gravity that helped me feel that I could say anything - she wasn’t someone who was going to laugh at my notions or dismiss my intuitive knowings. The word I’m looking for? Safe. The session I had with Carrie-Ann felt safe, and in that safety was an opportunity to expand my notions of what it meant to step into my life purpose.
Meeting People Where They Are At
After we had moved through my reading and angelic healing session (with a strong forward look to the ways I could continue this work with Carrie-Ann and on my own), we moved into the portion of our session where I got to ask her questions, to better flesh out this article.
How had she come to this work?
What was her experience with channelling and claircognizance?
Most importantly, how has her work helped people in the past, and what is her favourite part of this work?
Before I dive into the details of this interview, I want to talk about a common theme that extended throughout my personal session and into these questions.
As a practitioner, Carrie-Ann is client-led, meaning she meets her clients in the language and space they are comfortable in — translating insight rather than imposing belief. If I had entered that room without any desire to talk about spirituality or angels, those words would not have been woven into my session. In fact, a lot of the words we used and explored were supplied by me and the information I was willing to provide.
“I can deliver the same information without reference to angels. I meet them where they’re at,” she adds, “The information that’s coming through in practical and intangible ways is relevant regardless of what your belief is.”
If you are seeking a grounded and compassionate ear to guide you through personal growth and challenges, I would recommend these services, whether you are seeking secular and practical advice or a more spiritual language.
“I have no expectations. They’re in the room, they’re on the call with me for a reason. If they didn’t want help, they wouldn’t be in front of me. It’s not so much that they’re resistant -- they just don’t know how to open up. When you practice the compassion, when you see the innocence, when you recognize that they just might not have the awareness, but they’re sitting in front of you, so they have the willingness.” - Rev Carrie-Ann Provo on meeting clients in their comfort zone
Services and Value
On paper, Carrie-Ann provides Spiritual Counselling Services. In my session, I received a reading, counselling, and angelic healing - but the services were braided together in such a way that it was difficult to determine where one service ended and the other began. That seamlessness, I realized, was intentional — guided by what was most relevant for me in the moment.
By the end of the session, the flow of the different modalities created a whole that had a much deeper value than the sum of each service separately. In fact, the intuitive flow and response of each element was exactly what I hadn’t known I’d needed or wanted. I could absolutely see myself returning to Carrie-Ann’s office to further this journey on another day.
Her services, depending on what a client is looking for, can be intuitively woven like they were in my session. Clients can also choose which elements they’d prefer to work with - whether that is the reading or angelic healing portion. Likewise, if one prefers a fluid and responsive session they have access to that, but Carrie-Ann also offers more structured approaches for those who like the solidity of a framework. Much of her work is guided by Fearless Living by Rhonda Britten.
Again, she is a practitioner who is grounded in herself and eager to meet clients where they are – not where she expects them to be.
Beyond individual services, Carrie-Ann hosts group sessions that can span the diversity of her gifts as well. Like an independent session, these group circles are largely guided by who is showing up, the energy they are bringing with them, and the intentions they set.
You could even attend one this year. On Sunday, December 28, Carrie-Ann is hosting the session Forgiveness: Closing Emotional Chapters as We Leave 2025 Behind. Sign up today on the Root to Crown Connection Centre website!
She eagerly shared, “One of the more popular ones that I do is the Joy Circle. We connect with all the nine healing angels, and we send love to our loved ones, and then to our neighbours, and then to our community, and then to the city, and it expands and grows. We invite people to call in images of their loved ones. So it becomes very joy-filled.”
Carrie-Ann’s Own Journey
One does not simply go to school to learn how to channel angelic guidance.
It’s a skill - a calling - that emerges from a much deeper place of life experience. Carrie-Ann’s journey started nearly twenty years ago when she found her identity beginning to dissolve in a career that suddenly led nowhere. In that space, she made a choice. She chose the unknown rather than the certain but unhappy reality she’d been living.
This lived experience -- the processes of stepping into the unknown, understanding her own blocks, and leaning into angelic guidance -- is how she came to offer similar guidance to clients. “I uncovered so much about myself, and then I realized it’s time to give back the way that I’d been helped,” she shared, “It was more of a spiritual expansion that I wasn’t even expecting.”
“I didn’t say I was going to be a spiritual counsellor and life coach, I was just trying to figure out who I was.” - Rev Carrie-Ann Provo
Just as she guides her clients through periods of uncertainty, fear, and expansion now, Carrie-Ann was guided to walk this path herself long before she opened an oracle deck.
And, she tells me conspiratorially, that’s her happy place. “I help people explore, I help people expand, I help people evolve. And then I see them empowering themselves and empowering others. Seeing -- being witness -- being invited to be witness of that experience is the wow factor.”
The best part of her job is how she gets to watch her clients expand. Much of her work is guided by the Fearless Living tools she herself had used, and helping her clients move from their comfort zone to their stretch, risk, and die zones has led to more vicarious joy than she ever would have found had she not leapt into her own “die” zone. “The more I was willing to try new things, the more I was able to do different things. The more the world opened up to me. I found my space in a place where I could help others bridge that gap.”
“One of my clients, she’s been with me for five years, she has basically said that ‘my ability to see possibilities and opportunities is so much bigger than when I first started working with you’. She has a long-standing history of being in talk therapy for over twenty years, and she says that her 55 minutes with me has been more powerful than ten years of talk therapy, because I’m able to blend and pull out what needs to be pulled out, while still being very grounded. Her confidence, belief in self, understanding of self has expanded exponentially. Our last session -- she’s an actress -- she was thinking of going on tour worldwide now, whereas before that would have been a ‘die’, and now it’s like ‘well I could totally see myself doing that,’ because we’ve been able to expand her belief about what she’s capable of doing.” - Rev Carrie-Ann Provo
In fact, exploring this element of growth was exciting for me too, because it clicked something into place that had been missing. The blocks I’d experienced for some of my to-do list items weren’t just exhaustion or poor time management - they were there because of fears and risks I hadn’t been able to articulate. Even a short exposure to this tool has given me the guidance I need to be able to take the steps I’d been resisting taking.
The Journey Is Just Beginning
As this article draws to a close, I feel like my journey is just beginning, largely thanks to the session I had with Carrie-Ann. The grounded expansion that I feel as I write this article is an energy I think many of us can benefit from, and I am thrilled to recommend Rev Carrie-Ann Provo as a resource for people who are tired of living in fear or apathy.
If you aren’t ready to book a 1-on-1 session with Carrie-Ann, maybe stretch your comfort zone a little and join one of her group circles. You can even reach out to her for additional resources - the books she herself has learned from, or maybe even her podcast vault (which maybe we’ll hear soon on platforms like YouTube).
To book, visit WhiteLight Metaphysical for appointments or the Root to Crown Events calendar for available opportunities!
However you choose to take this leap into the unknown, rest assured that Carrie-Ann is rooted in a deep desire to help people shift their focus from fear to openness - to see the opportunities that are all around them, and to embrace the abundance that’s already at their fingertips.
“You’re in the exact right place, at the exact right time for what your soul is wanting to experience. In that moment, remember you’re doing better than you think you are, and you can create whatever reality that you want to create.” - Rev Carrie-Ann Provo
